Mental Health Awareness

Let’s talk all things mental health

It was mental health day on Saturday and empty day yesterday. As someone who has struggled with mental health since a teenager this is something that is very close to my heart and I felt needed to be shared.

I believe that we all have “mental health” as no one is happy 365 days of the year. We are all human, we are all perfectly imperfect and we need to remember that!

I myself suffer with anxiety and there’s not a day that goes by where I don’t suffer with some form of anxiety. Not many people will know this and it’s not something I would usually feel comfortable sharing but I feel as though it’s time mental health is normalised and openly talked about!

It’s 2020 and things are pretty strange and tough right now, there’s no doubt about it. I can’t even imagine some of the pain and suffering some of you are feeling on a daily or weekly basis but I want you to know that you’re not on your own!

Talking and checking in is so so important but please also try and take other actions which will help your mental health, such as, turning off news notifications (delete news apps!), unfollow or mute those who don’t make you feel good on here, meditate or exercise… find what works for you, it’s going to be different for everybody but try to be aware of how your body and mind are feeling and please don’t ignore it.

You deserve happiness, you really really do. Sending so much love to anyone who needs it right now!

If you ever need someone to talk to, please always remember that I am here.
